ALS's Foundation Degree (Arts) Applied Professional Practice (FdA), designed in association with Cardiff Metropolitan University, aims to support the development of management and leadership skills in a way that will suit both employers and delegates’ needs whilst being accredited by a leading university.
ALS has developed the Foundation Degree (Arts) Applied Professional Practice (FdA), a flexible work-based programme designed to allow you to study in a way which suits you, while being accredited by the leading Cardiff Metropolitan University.
The degree aims to give a blend of learning opportunities together with the experience of studying within the university; attending lectures and workshops, using a range of resources and research capabilities.
The context of the degree is based on management and leadership and personal development. It allows you to demonstrate your competence through a work-based project, rather than a traditional dissertation, and ultimately aims to meet the desired assessment method, which is more applicable and relevant to you - giving a choice on how you wish to be assessed.
ALS currently delivers the Higher Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management at Level 5, and we can assess how this could be delivered in unison with the FdA if you wish to achieve more than one outcome at this level. We provide an integrated approach to delivery so you do not feel like you are studying for more than one qualification. If you are eligible, we can capitalise on Apprenticeship funding to offset the commercial cost of the FdA.
